Individual Project | 03 Spinner Design and Fabrication

For our culminating individual project we completed the three stages of design that we had practiced in the previous projects. The project required me to explore a specific stakeholder that I chose and then identify their needs. Following my exploration I was able to correctly hand draw my design and then translate that into a drawing on the engineering program Solidworks. Once the digital design was finalized I fabricated the spinner a with a 3D printer.  

 

During the process I was able to improve my skills on using the engineering modeling program Solidworks. This tool allows me to model 3D objects that is a key skill of engineering. In addition I was able to improve my rhetorical skills when presenting my final creation to an audience. After this project I was able to utilize and demonstrate all the skills I had learned during this course.
