Team Project | 03 Enabling Play for All

During our final team project we gathered all the skills we had learned previously and used them to make a new toy that would be accessible to all children. Once we completed the toy our team presented to the client, Reach Services, through a formal presentation.

The project began with a visit to our client to find out their needs and how we could expand on the collection of toys they already have. After the client meeting I researched information about common disabilities and planned how a toy could be adapted for the child and our client. From here the client met came in for a second time and decided which toys they wanted to be created; then our team began working. When designing the toy we considered all aspects from material to safety standards. Once the toy was finalized we presented a comprehensive presentation describing the reasons behind our design and a demonstration of the toy function.

After completing the third team project I greatly improved on the skills we had been learning through the entire course. I was able to learn how to clearly communicate and present within a group. Overall the project was a great showcase of all the culminating skills we learned over the entire course.
